What are your Summer Intensives like? |

We warm up together in the morning & then split into groups (usually by age). For the first week, kids rotate through dance (where they learn choreography & work on skills) and acting (where they develop characters and do scene work). Between classes we have a 15 minute snack break. We usually break for lunch from 12 – 12:30, then wash up & begin a vocal warm up. After warm up, kids split again and rotate through music (learning music & healthy singing techniques) and stagecraft (where they work on sets, costumes & props). Wow! What a day! We end each day with group exercises that wind us down.
During the second week, we follow the same schedule until we’re ready to begin combining the groups into our final show. In the last two days, our goal is to run through the show two times each day. The final showcase usually ends up being about an hour long.
Now you know why we call them Intensives!
