If you liked The Bad Seed, All About Eve and Gypsy, you’ll kill to see RUTHLESS! The Musical, coming to the Auxillary Dog Theatre (at Monte Vista, behind Buffalo Exchange in Nob Hill) for 12 performances March 28 – April 20.  Ruthless! The Musical opened off-Broadway in 1992 and won the 1993 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical.  Sweet, talented little Tina Denmark is a parent's worst nightmare.  She knows she was born to play Pippi Longstocking in her school show, and will do anything to win the part - including murder.  Mix together The Bad Seed, All About Eve, Gypsy, and nearly every other classic story of stage mothers, precocious brats, and theatrical backstabbing and you've got Ruthless! Directed by Hal Simons, this show is unapologetically campy in style, with a cast of outrageous characters, peppy songs and peppery dialogue. Ruthless! The Musical - it sure ain't Annie!
